How it works
Every time you share something that helps another explorer, you earn points in the region it is in. The community's response earns more. Points are counted every night, on our side — nothing on your phone can add them.
Points
Two titles
Guide
10+ points in a region, counted over all time. A region can have any number of Guides, and you keep the title.
Wayfinder
The one person who leads a region over the last 12 months — with at least 5 points in that time and 10+ of the region's towns and villages visited on your own tracks. The holder keeps it on a tie: to take it, you pass them.
Questions
Why does a Wayfinder have to have been there?
Because the title says “this person knows the place”. Points show you help; the places you have visited — counted from the fog you cleared — show you are local. A stack of tips about somewhere you have never been does not make you its Wayfinder.
Which region does my point go to?
The region the thing is in: a waypoint or a photo where it sits, an activity where it started, a route where it begins. Close to a border, it can land in the neighbouring region.
Can I farm points?
Not usefully. Votes on your own content do not count, one person can move you by at most 10 points a month, an activity collects at most 5 likes' worth, and voting yourself earns at most 20 a day.
When do I see my points?
The boards are recounted every night. Something you share today shows up tomorrow.
Can I stay off the boards?
Yes — turn off “Show me on the Wayfinders boards” in settings. You still earn points and can see your own standing; nobody else sees you. Open settings
